The workshop Yoga for Period Pain was developed from personal experience and a need for relieve of the instructor Therese. Many years of severe pain and agony around the time of bleeding inspired her to find solutions. She explored various movement and meditation practices and tried many techniques. To release her one period pain she put together these gentle movements and mindful yoga practice and found that they help her menstruating students as well.
This yoga workshop is designed to help you to ease menstrual pain and cramps acutely during the period. Additionally you will learn how to tackle painful menstruations before they occur during the month before the bleeding.

The Yoga Teacher
Therese Heinisch is a yoga teacher, researcher and activist. Her main work is at the intersection of well-being and intersectional feminism. She has been teaching yoga since 2013, completed two extensive hatha yoga teacher trainings (800+ h) and holds a master’s degree in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from SOAS, university of London. She has co-founded The Pink House as well as Yoga School Kosovo. In the past years she taught in various yoga teacher trainings, workshops and yoga courses. Therese is the founder of Virtual Yoga Institute.
